Part update, part rant. I'm not naming my company or any individuals, so this should all be kosher.

Anyway, the complaint I made in personnel, the woman who was insistent I had to "get ready for the next" child, was resolved, if you can call it that. Both parties have been spoken to and the woman says she thought it was an innocent comment, one that is just routine part of conversation between women talking about stuff like their kids.

?! Huh?! One time, ok, I wouldn't even complain about that, even two, hey maybe they forgot what I said the first time. Three or more? And I told the personnel rep this, three? four? God only knows how many?! And I'm positive I said 'no', and even, "No, I just want the one". This should have been clear not to continue. "Um, well, Squidward, she's surprised it came to this and really meant it innocently and would really like to have a talk with you."

Such a talk hasn't taken place. The fact that I saw this person sitting alone says others know how she is about other peoples' business. She and a very patient woman that if "Kim" doesn't like you there's something wrong with you, anyway they no longer speak to one another.

It just seems like if the person making the remark was a guy, he would be on a final warning or out the door. That was part of why I made the complain, to do away with nonsense like double standards. I guess they're not ready for that.

Two words:
You're right.
On all counts.
K that was five. Oh well

This individual has since cost herself her job. Ultimately it was MAJOR errors...not a patient whose name was misspelled by one letter but missed tests that can't be added without a redraw and ultimately not catching a wrong patient's sample in with the paperwork...that got her employment terminated last night. I can't help but think that complaint had just a little bit to do with it. Maybe it's a live and learn experience and she'll mind her own business next time around. One can only hope.
